How Deviation Acquisition Works
Deviations come from Securement Silos, world anomalies, quests, and special events. Combat Deviations fight on a cooldown-energy system; Territory Deviations automate tasks in your base. Each has mood β keep it high with the containment conditions listed on its wiki page (lighting, music, isolation) or its output drops sharply.
Priority Combat Deviations
- Festering Gel (Silo Alpha) β corrosive DoT, the best early pickup.
- Electric Eel (Silo Bravo) β chain lightning for Power Surge squads.
- Frog the Leaper (Silo Delta) β AoE leap with a brief taunt.
- Lonewolfβs Whisper (Silo Sigma) β spectral wolf, strong solo partner.
- Pyro Dino (Silo Phi) β fire cone that stacks with Burn builds.
- Dr. Teddy (world events) β the healer every raid group wants.
Priority Territory Deviations
- Nutcracker β auto-logging; frees you from wood runs.
- The Digger β passive ore income.
- Growshroom β crop acceleration for cooking buffs.
- Rebecca β crafting speed at benches.
- Space Turtle β base shield during raids (PvP scenarios).
- Wish Machine β periodic random resource bundles.
Farming Efficiently
- Run Silos on the highest difficulty you can clear β drop rates scale.
- Deviation drops are not guaranteed; expect several runs per target.
- Watch for anomaly weather events on the map β several rare Deviations only spawn during them.
- In co-op, every squad member gets independent drop rolls, so group farming costs nothing.
Mood Management Cheat Sheet
Build a dedicated containment room: isolate units that dislike crowding, add wall lamps for light-lovers, and place a music player centrally. A 100-mood Deviation performs dramatically better than a neglected one β it is the cheapest power boost in the game.
