Once Human First Person Mode Guide

First Person Mode arrived with Version 3.0.1 and applies to both Once Human and RaidZone.

How to switch views

On PC, press Alt + C during exploration to switch between first-person and third-person. You can also set a default camera in Settings. On mobile, add the camera-switch control from the custom layout settings; it is hidden by default.

What works in first person

  • Movement, jumping, and climbing
  • Firearms, melee attacks, and throws
  • Medicine and food use
  • Gathering with bare hands, pickaxes, chainsaws, and drills
  • Vehicle camera preference is remembered after you exit and re-enter

Current limitations

Some scenes still return to third-person temporarily, including selected cutscenes, interactions, Deviation skills, and special effects. The official roadmap also lists gliding, underwater exploration, ladders, ziplines, and some Deviation animations as areas still being refined.
