The Scenario System in One Minute
Once Human is organized into seasonal scenarios — rule-set variants of the game world lasting several weeks, split into phases. When a season ends, your character’s world progress resets, a curated set of items transfers to Eternaland (your persistent island hub), and you pick your next scenario.
The Scenarios Compared
Manibus (PvE) — the flagship story season. Full PvE, cooperative Prime Wars, every core system. Best for new players and anyone who wants progression without loot risk.
Evolution’s Call (PvP) — Manibus’s map with faction warfare layered on. Contested zones, territory sieges, loot risk. Pick it when you have a squad and a stable build routine.
The Way of Winter (PvE) — the frost season. Temperature is a survival system: sub-zero zones drain warmth, bases need heating, and frost bosses hit hard. The best “second season” for PvE players wanting a fresh challenge.
Prismverse’s Clash (PvP) — competitive territory control around Prism energy with scheduled clash windows and ranked Starchrom payouts. The most organized, esports-flavored ruleset.
Endless Dream (Hybrid) — roguelike modifiers remix spawns and loot weekly. Chaotic, replayable, and generous with cosmetics; great for veterans bored of the standard loop.
What Actually Carries Over
Between seasons you keep: Eternaland island and its stored items, blueprint unlocks and their star levels, cosmetics, and account-level progression. You lose: world position, base structures (blue-printable first!), and seasonal currencies. Save your building layout as a blueprint before season end and spend seasonal currency down to zero.
Recommendation Path
Season 1: Manibus. Season 2: The Way of Winter (PvE) or Evolution’s Call (PvP with friends). After that, rotate by mood — scenario variety is the game’s long-term engine.
